In this update:Mark Berenson's Statement on Lori's "Presentation"
Lori was "presented" to the Peruvian people yesterday, unexpectedly. I saw her on Channel 41 and 47 [NYC] news last night. Three wire releases yesterday (Reuters, AP, and UPI) tell similar stories. However, I was disappointed with the article in today's NY Times.
Reuters and AP have sent the transcript of Lori's entire statement. The tape recorders were positioned at different parts of the room with some background noise. We plan to make Lori's complete statement available and feel that this will give a much clearer picture than the excerpts printed in the NY Times.
