Translated from Spanish

She’s in business. The American Lori Berenson Mejía is producing Christmas panetones that she sells to local businesses and families from the penitentiary of Huacariz, in Cajamarca. She said that when she leaves prison she will remember the time she baked rolls and cakes that has become her specialty during her imprisonment. The foreigner added that her main clients are national companies whose names she prefers to keep confidential. Also, she indicated that this year she is trying to surpass the numbers that she achieved last year when she made more than 3,500 panetones. Nevertheless, she recognized that higher prices caused by the rise of prices in the ingredients have harmed business.
