Question on Lori Part of Debate in Massachusetts 8th Congressional District
Prior to the recent Democratic primary in the 8th Congressional District of Massachusetts, a debate among the candidates was held and the candidates were required to respond in writing and orally to more than a dozen questions. One of the questions pertained to support for Lori. All the candidates pledged to champion Lori's case, as had Joseph Kennedy who was retiring at the end of this Congressional term. All the candidates promised to urge President Clinton to enact 22 U.S.C. Section 1732 on Lori's behalf. We are grateful for the strong support shown by these individuals and we will be calling on Michael Capuano, the primary winner, for his assistance.
